There are some jobs that do not need a diploma. It is enough that you have the right attitude, skills and experience and usually, with the right grit, you can get to places. However, a sad fact is, there are some jobs that you cannot just apply for without a college degree.
Jobs that require a college degree are some of the below:
- Doctors
- Lawyers
- Nurses
- Accountants
Doctors
Being a doctor is not easy, thus it requires more than just a baccalaureate degree. To be a doctor, you must have graduated in a pre-medicine course. You must be able to pass K to 12 and proceed to college. After college, you may now proceed to medicine in a med school to pass the course, the internship and to graduate.
Lawyers
Similar to doctors, being a lawyer also requires grit and perseverance. To become one, you must again, pass K to 12. Then proceed to a college course for a pre law. Once you have graduated the college course and obtained your diploma, you may now proceed to a law school and take up law. From there, you would have to finish the four-year law course, pass the bar and sign the roll of attorneys. After all are done, you become a full pledged lawyer.
Nurses
This course is a college course that can be taken up after senior high school. It is a four year course that enables one to be a nurse. A diploma will be given to you after graduating college under this course and you will be required to pass the board examination in order to be a nurse.
Accountants
Similar to the nurses, in order to be a certified accountant, one must get this course after passing K to 12. Accounting is another four year course that is offered in tertiary education. Taking up this course and passing it by obtaining the diploma is just the first step. Passing the accountancy board exam is the next and doing so would make you an accountant.
Sometimes, it is more than just grit or experience. A diploma is necessary to get that dream job. One must work hard for it and obtain that piece of paper in order to be in that industry. It is a must because doing these jobs is also not easy. It entails saving lives, saving properties, preserving relationships and dealing with money. Thus, having that piece of paper is truly important.
